The Dana Point Tide Pools provides a unique day at the beach for you and your family. You can hike the sea wall, browse the gift shop, play on the beach, say “hi” to the sea lions that are always laying around the rocks, and explore the tide pools.
The Dana Point Marine LifeRefuge offers a docent-led tidepool exploration as well as a touch-tank at the Orange County Marine Institute. The tidepools are accessible at various times depending on the tide.

PIER DAZE PIRATE INVASION AND FAIRE Saturday June 27th & Sunday 28th, 2009
Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier
This annual event showcases one of Long Beach’s treasures its pier. Sample tantalizing seafood and BBQ as you listen to a wide assortment of music; inspect the newly installed memorial plaques and benches.This year on Saturday, there will be a real Pirate Ship attacking the Pier, which will be defended by local citizens and our very own pirates, cannons and sword fights galore. A limited number of Pirate ship rides will be available. There will be a kids treasure hunt, a pirate costume contest, and a beach funzone.
On Sunday - Long Beach Fire Department and Long Beach Lifeguards will be on hand for where you can enjoy a totally awesome California Pierdaze, Woodies, our local Police , Blue Steel “The Best Rock n’ Roll” Band in Long Beach. Take ocean cruises on the Catamaran na Hoku or Harbor Breeze Cruises.

Pinkberry is celebrating the debut of three new summer flavors with a free yogurt. Participating Pinkberry stores on Friday will give customers a free small yogurt from 5-9 p.m. Diners can choose from the chain’s new flavors: coconut, passion fruit and tropical swirl.

Family Films in the Park begin on Friday, June 26th and run every Friday night for 5 weeks.
Bring your blankets and low-back beach chairs to the amphitheater in Brea for a family night of fun. Families are welcome to arrive early and bring a picnic dinner, and the kids can play on the nearby playground before the film starts. Brea Baptist Church sponsors a free raffle with fun prizes for kids up to age 12 during the intermission and provides popcorn, candy, sodas, and snacks for sale. Concession sales by Brea Baptist Church are generously donated to the City of Brea to help make this event possible.
Movies start at 8 pm or dusk
