Not sure where to take your kids for Halloween that’s safe? Try Toys R Us this year, as they offer a safe Halloween destination for families.
In the true tradition of focusing on kids, Toys R Us will be providing a Safe, Fun Environment for Kids to Trick “R” Treat.
Customers can visit any Toys”R”Us store – dressed up in their ghoulish garb – on Saturday, October 31 from noon to 3pm to participate in a spooktacularly safe Halloween celebration. Toys”R”Us store employees will also be dressed in costume, showing off their spooky best.
Children ages three and up who attend Geoffrey’s Trick “R” Treat Parade will receive a complimentary, reusable bag, which they can fill up with goodies and giveaways (while supplies last) as they parade around the store with everyone’s favorite mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe.
Within each complimentary Trick “R” Treat bag, children will find Geoffrey’s Halloween Safety Pledge, providing a list of important safety tips that kids and parents can review at home. Kids can take this pledge and have their parents sign it as a promise that they will follow the safety tips to help ensure their Halloween is fun-filled and accident-free.
Additionally, to help kids stay safe on Halloween, Toys”R”Us has updated its dedicated safety website at Toysrus.com/Safety to feature Halloween-themed safety tips from Safe Kids Worldwide, the world’s leading childhood injury prevention organization.
Green Port Fest is the Port of Long Beach’s annual open house. It’s a chance to educate the community about the port’s vital role in the economy and ground-breaking environmental programs.
There will be more than 70 booths and exhibits, children’s activities, entertainment, food, boat and rail tours and much more. The best part is that the Fest is FREE!
Some of the activities featured at the festival will be a children’s playground with face painting, eyes under the sea - spotlighting underwater robots, big machines-checking out the yard hostlers that move the heavy containers under the sea and what lives in the harbor spotlighting the wildlife that calls the Port of Long Beach home.
The Long Beach Green Port Fest will be held on Saturday, October 3rd from 1oAM to 3PM. Green Port Fest is held at the Port Administration Building, but there is no on-site parking. Instead, park at the Long Beach Convention Center and hop on one of the free shuttles.
